Why we only sell men’s sex toys
Spank The Monkey has been trading since 2019 and stocks over 500 products —
all of them for men. We don’t sell vibrators, we don’t stock rabbit toys, and
we won’t ever have a “for her” tab in our menu. Every decision on this site,
from the products we buy to the way we photograph them, is made for a male
audience.
That sounds like a limitation, but it’s the whole point.
The generalist problem
The UK adult e-commerce market is dominated by retailers who sell to everyone.
Lovehoney, Bondara, and the mainstream pharmacy ranges stock tens of thousands
of SKUs across vibrators, lingerie, bondage, and everything in between.
Their men’s sections are tabs — often an afterthought, usually buried three
clicks deep, and rarely updated with the same care as their bestselling
categories.
If you’ve ever tried to find a decent cock ring on a generalist site, you’ll
know the feeling: 40 products on the landing page, half of them tagged “couples”
with imagery aimed at women, and descriptions written by someone whose last
three products were vibrators.
What specialisation actually changes
When you only sell men’s toys, a few things get easier:
- The range gets curated, not accumulated. We carry 500+ products across
seven categories because that’s what covers the male market properly — not
because we’re racing to hit 10,000 SKUs. - The writing gets specific. Our cock sleeve pages talk about girth gain
in inches, insertable length, and realistic versus textured. Our prostate
massager pages talk about curve depth and vibration patterns. Nobody on
our team has to split their attention across rabbit vibrators and
masturbators in the same afternoon. - The support stays relevant. When a customer emails asking whether a
Fleshlight will fit over a Bathmate pump session, we know the answer.
When someone asks if they should start with the Aneros Helix or the Nexus
Revo, we have an opinion.
Discreet by design
Every order ships in plain brown packaging from our UK warehouse. There’s no
logo, no branding, and nothing on the label that indicates what’s inside.
Card billing shows as “STM Ltd”. Royal Mail and DPD both have next-day
options, and anything ordered before 2pm on a weekday goes out the same day.
We’re rated 4.8 stars on Trustpilot and we’ve been stocking these products
for long enough to know what’s worth selling and what isn’t.
